When Expectations Leave Little Room for You
Online Therapy in Georgia for women with ADHD who want to heal, honor their needs, and feel more comfortable being who they are.
You may have learned to accommodate others or push yourself to meet expectations that leave little room for your own needs. Maybe you question yourself, overthink conversations, feel anxious about getting things wrong or embarrassing yourself. Or maybe you feel you should be doing more and have spent years feeling inadequate, working harder to compensate, and trying to prove yourself. Therapy offers a different way.
We might be a good fit if you…
Feel pressure to get things right
Have had experiences of feeling criticized for being “lazy” or “not trying hard enough”, in spite of your best efforts
Push your own needs aside to keep up with responsibilities, meet expectations, or avoid letting others down
Question yourself
Feel misunderstood
Struggle with self-criticism
Don’t feel good enough
Overthink conversations, decisions, or how others perceive you
Feel sensitive to criticism or rejection (or identify with RSD)
Worry about disappointing others, making mistakes, or falling short

How We Work Together
I use EMDR therapy, which is a specialized therapy that helps clients move past whatever is blocking them or holding them back. We explore the beliefs you hold about yourself, some examples being “I’m not good enough” or “I am unlovable”, and work through why those beliefs formed in the first place. We explore what feels emotionally “stuck”. I integrate parts work, somatic awareness, and mindfulness when supportive. Sessions are personalized according to your needs, and together, we work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

A Therapist Who Sees the Whole You
Therapy is personal and finding a good fit is important.
Clients say that therapy with me is different than working with other therapists because I seek to understand their experiences. I also use my own lived experiences to deepen empathy and understanding.
I have a passion for helping women embrace themselves more fully and feel more secure with not knowing.
