Meet: Lauren Pifer, LPC
Your guide back to the self that got left behind
Trauma and anxiety therapy for neurodiverse women and self-discovery-minded adults located in Georgia.
Credentials and Education:
I’ve been providing therapy in private practice settings since 2019. I received my Master of Science in Clinical / Counseling Psychology and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Georgia.
Through my years of training and experience, I’ve specialized in how our experiences shape the way we see ourselves, build relationships, and how we move through the world. That path led me to EMDR for attachment wounds and the complex patterns we carry forward. I’ve spent hours with some of the best therapists and minds in this field as mentors, trainers, and consultants.
I’ve had the privilege of helping countless individuals and have a genuine heart for the people I work with.

Outside of Sessions
Outside of my time with clients, my life is filled with creativity and learning. I love learning new things. I have two cats, and one of them can talk using communication buttons. His favorite words are "play", "pets", and "now". However, I ended up retiring the buttons and now focus on training him to do other interesting tricks. I'm an avid aquarium enthusiast, and I find myself observing my little aquatic friends throughout the day. I love watching tv and movies that I find inspiring, and I enjoy hanging out with my spouse and friends. I love food, especially international foods. I enjoy learning languages. I like spending time in nature and have a lifelong love of animals. I enjoy writing fiction and nonfiction and playing games.
The people closest to me describe me as thoughtful, understanding, genuine, and insightful.
I may be a good fit if you're looking to:
Explore the impact of your past on your present
Process things on a deeper level
Understand things through your innate wisdom
Walk away with a healthier perspective
Build emotional awareness and relational insight
Develop inner safety and self-trust
Work through past emotional experiences
Work at a steady, grounded pace
This work is for people who are stable enough in their day-to-day to do deeper therapeutic work.
I may not be a good fit if:
You’re primarily seeking skills-based therapy for improving social skills or coping skills
Are in crisis, seeking quick solutions, were recently hospitalized, or participate in dangerous, impulsive behaviors
Are needing a higher level of care than traditional outpatient psychotherapy
Prefer working with a therapist who specializes in an area outside of my practice
