Focused, extended EMDR therapy for adults who want dedicated time to work through trauma, negative experiences, and move toward meaningful change.
What is an EMDR Intensive?
Sometimes, you understand your patterns but still find yourself caught in them. You may have spent years trying to make sense of painful experiences, yet certain memories, beliefs, or reactions continue to affect how you feel about yourself and relate to others.
EMDR intensives offer a dedicated block of time for focused therapeutic work. Rather than spreading every part of the work across standard weekly appointments, we create a structured space to focus on your goals.
They tend to be a good fit if:
You love your current therapist and don’t want to leave, but they aren’t trained in EMDR. An intensive can sit alongside that work.
Your schedule can’t hold months of weekly sessions, but you can set aside a few focused days.
Intensives give EMDR the room it actually needs: hours, not minutes, so what comes up can be processed instead of picked back up week after week.
Format Options
EMDR intensives offer extended time to work through painful experiences and patterns that continue to affect your life. Depending on your goals and individual needs, you may benefit from a 4-hour, 8-hour, or 12-hour intensive. Explore the options below to learn more.
◷ 12 Hour Intensive

For those wanting to explore a broader pattern rooted in multiple past experiences, such as longstanding self-worth struggles, childhood relational wounds, or recurring emotional patterns that span different stages of life.

◷ 4 Hour Intensive
Extended time for one memory
A focused block of time for meaningful therapeutic work. This format may be a good fit if you want dedicated time to focus on specific therapeutic goals.

◷ 8 Hour Intensive
Focused, in-depth processing

What to Expect & Is an EMDR Intensive Right for You?
EMDR intensives offer an extended period of time to focus on therapeutic goals, rather than spreading the work across standard weekly sessions. I create a focused, supportive space for meaningful work at a pace that respects your needs.
The process begins with a consultation call.
Before scheduling an intensive, we'll discuss your goals, relevant experiences, current circumstances, and whether this format is a good fit for you. If we decide that an intensive is the right fit, we'll identify a focus for our work, prepare for the intensive, and plan for support and integration afterward.
Is an intensive right for you?
An intensive may be worth exploring if you want to focus on distressing experiences, persistent negative beliefs about yourself, or memories that continue to affect how you feel, relate to others, or move through daily life.
However, extended EMDR work isn't the best fit for everyone. We'll consider your goals, current needs, and readiness together. For some people, beginning with regular therapy sessions or allowing more time for preparation may be the more supportive than jumping into an intensive.
You don't have to know which format is right for you before reaching out. We can explore that together!

A Therapist Who Honors Your Journey
My approach to EMDR intensives is informed by the ways our experiences shape us and how the past can continue to affect us in the present.
You may be carrying the impact of a single distressing event that still feels difficult to move beyond. Or you may be working through experiences that have accumulated over time, including traumatic events, unmet emotional needs, or generational cycles that affect how you see yourself and connect with others.
My approach doesn’t use a one-size-fits-all method. Together, we'll consider what you hope to change, whether an intensive is a good fit, and how to approach the work in a way that respects your needs and readiness.
