Love Who You Are From the Inside Out
Therapy for neurodivergent women who are ready to feel less anxious, honor what they need, and live a fuller life.
You’re diagnosed or self-identify with ADHD, autism, AuDHD, dyslexia, or having learning challenges. You’ve been reflecting about what it means to be who you are and how you connect with others. Sometimes it feels like the world expects something different from you than what you naturally bring. Maybe you’ve been reflecting about how your life would be different if you had the support you needed sooner.
Can you relate?
Feeling exhausted after socializing
Being told you’re “too much” or “too sensitive”
Replaying conversations in your mind
Second guessing yourself and your decisions
Feeling exhausted from constantly monitoring yourself around others
Feel sensitive to rejection or criticism, or resonate with RSD (Rejection Sensitivity Dysphoria)
Replaying conversations over and over, not sure if you did okay
Rehearsing or imagining conversations before they happen
Socializing feels more like performing than truly connecting
Feeling like a burden for having your own needs
Believing that others don’t like the real you
Masking your true self so that others will accept you
Everyone else must have been born with a manual for how to be a person, and things come easier for others than they do for you
You’re not sure if others understand you

How We Work Together
Therapy with me always starts with building an emotionally safe, trusting therapist-client relationship with you. It’s the foundation for our deeper work, and I want you to feel connected with me as we go through this work! We begin exploring what life is like for you, your specific goals for therapy, any past and present stressors, and life circumstances.
I use EMDR therapy, which is a specialized therapy that helps people move past whatever is blocking them or holding them back from feeling more confident, secure, or connected. I also integrate parts work, somatic awareness, and mindfulness when supportive. Sessions are personalized according to your needs, and together, we work at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
The core of our work together is about identifying and working through what is in the way for you. We look at your experiences in life and any negative beliefs you have about yourself that “showed you” that your must continue to overthink, deny your needs, and that you can’t be yourself around others. We integrate a healthier view of yourself that allows confidence, authentic connection with others, feeling secure within yourself to come forward in a way that feels natural and unforced. We do this work so that you may feel more connected to yourself, live from a place that honors yourself and others, and feel more authentic connection in your relationships.
Therapy is Personal. Human to human.
Meet: Lauren Pifer, Licensed Professional Counselor
Therapy is a space for you, where you are honored.
As a neurodivergent gal myself, I personally understand what it’s like to feel like a circle in a world that asks you to fit into a square. Many of my own experiences and experiences with loved ones have made me a better therapist and more empathetic person. Not only do I have the specialized training and therapy “toolbox”, but I also have the lived experience to support neurodivergent women as well.
I work mostly with neurodivergent women and have a passion for helping them show up more authentically with others, advocate for their needs, and feel more connected with themselves.
